East Petersburg Day

Physical therapists from Drayer Physical Therapy Institute will promote fall prevention awareness as part of East Petersburg Day on Sept. 15.

The community event will be held at East Petersburg Community Park in Lancaster County.

Drayer physical therapists will be on hand from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to educate the public about the importance of balance in preventing falls.

They will offer free balance and fall screenings that will include tests for postural alignment, functional reach, standing balance, and the ability to go from sitting to standing to walking. Each year, more than one-third of adults ages 65 and older suffer falls.
