Virtual 5K Race Raises More Than $2,000
Oct 21 |Drayer Physical Therapy Institute’s inaugural “Kickin’ It Old School Virtual 5K“ raised more than $2,000.
Proceeds from the race supported the nonprofit Good Sports, which promotes the lifelong benefits of sport and physical activity by providing equipment, apparel and footwear to those most in need.
Drayer’s “virtual 5K” drew 198 participants — including employees, patients and friends — from throughout the company, which owns or manages 145 centers in 15 states.
A virtual 5K is like a traditional race except that participants can run or walk whenever or wherever they want. In this case, the activity had to occur Sept. 17-24.
