ADVANTAGE PHYSICAL THERAPY & SPORTS PERFORMANCE

OPENS OUTPATIENT CENTER IN ELKTON, VA. 

 

Advantage Physical Therapy & Sports Performance’s third outpatient center has opened in the Shen-Elk Plaza.

The center is at 800 Shenandoah Ave., Suite 140, and can be reached at 540-298-4749.

The center specializes in orthopedics, spinal care, sports medicine, post-surgical rehabilitation, TMJ dysfunction, manual therapy, injury prevention and wellness.

Center manager Jeremy Whitmore, who is a physical therapist, oversees a staff of six. Whitmore, a graduate of Turner Ashby High School and the University of Kentucky, is a strength and conditioning specialist and a CrossFit -certified trainer.

“After a decade of service to the Shenandoah Valley, Advantage is a name that patients associate with high-quality physical therapy,” Whitmore said. “We are thrilled to bring our patient-centered care to the Elkton community.”

Harrisonburg native William Johnson, who founded Advantage in 2001, is area manager for Elkton and its sister centers in Harrisonburg and Weyers Cave.

In early 2011, Johnson partnered with Hummelstown, Pa.-based Drayer Physical Therapy Institute.
