Drayer Physical Therapy Institute has opened an outpatient physical therapy center in Gadsden, Ala., its 17th in the state.

The new center, at 310 S. 5th St., is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and by appointment on Saturday. It can be reached at 256-549-6387.

The center’s specialties are manual therapy, orthopedics, sports medicine, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, spinal traction therapy, TMJ rehabilitation, gait training, occupational rehabilitation and neurological rehabilitation.

Southside High School graduate Cory Fuller is the clinical director. He recently earned a doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham; he previously received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of Alabama.

“I am looking forward to treating patients in the community I call home,” Fuller said, “and introducing them to Drayer’s philosophy of providing the best care possible.”

Joining him at the Drayer center is Allison Adams, physical therapist assistant. Donnie Smith is the center’s regional vice president.
